Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 July 2026

MyApprovedPhoto is built so that your photo — the most sensitive thing you give us — never has to leave your device. This page explains exactly what happens to your data and why.

1. Your photo is processed locally, not uploaded

When you select a photo, it is loaded directly into your browser and processed there: face detection, background removal, and cropping all run on-device using an in-browser AI model. The original photo, and the finished HD file, are never sent to our servers or stored by us. We have no copy of your photo at any point.

2. What is stored in your browser

We use your browser's local storage to remember your processed result so you don't lose it on a refresh, and — after you pay — to remember that a specific document has been unlocked on that device. This data stays on your device; clearing your browser's site data removes it. It is not accessible to us.

3. Payment data

Payments are handled by Stripe. When you pay, Stripe collects your card details directly — we never see or store your full card number. We receive confirmation that a specific document was paid for, tied to a Stripe checkout session, so we can unlock your download. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for how they handle payment data.

4. Analytics and cookies

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics (e.g. page-view counts) to understand which document pages are useful. This does not involve your photo and is not used to identify you individually.

5. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)

Because we do not store your photo or create an account for you, there is generally nothing photo-related for us to access, export, or delete on our servers — it already lives only on your device. For any payment-related data held by Stripe on our behalf, you can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us, and we will pass the request to Stripe as our payment processor.

6. Children

This tool is commonly used by parents to generate identity photos for their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children, since photo processing never leaves the device being used.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves; the "last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision.
